It’s hot and I’m weary and I’ve got the blues, so
I grab me some ice and a bottle of Ouzo.
Put on my hat, kick off my shoes,
Sit in the shade while I take in the views.
And all I can hear is the buzz in the trees,
It’s the song of cicadas that’s filling the breeze,
When I’m feeling wrong,
Cicada song keeps me smiling.

It’s the song that they sing when the sun’s shining bright.
